San Antonio's Methodist Children’s Hospital is completing a huge expansion of its children’s hospital, according to an article on the San Antonio Business Journal website.
A slideshow on the site offers a first look at the results of the project.
The multimillion-dollar project will expand the facility's footprint by about 190,000 square feet to a total of roughly 250,000 square feet.
The expanded Methodist Children’s Hospital will feature a new patient tower and will house 147 beds. The transformed hospital will also have 94 neonatal intensive care unit beds and 40 emergency department beds. All of the beds except for those in the NICU will be in private rooms, the article said.
