The Safer Choice label helps “consumers, and commercial buyers identify and select products with safer chemical ingredients, without sacrificing quality or performance,”…“products that are safer for you, your family, and the environment.” The Safer Choice program has been cited as part of The President’s Executive Order 13693 – Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade, which includes “purchasing sustainable products and services identified by EPA programs including:… Safer Choice labeled products (chemically intensive products that contain safer ingredients).”  The Federal Government is encouraging the use of products with a better environmental impact.
