Southco Celebrates Grand Opening of New Poland Facility

Southco, Inc., a global leader in engineered access solutions, today celebrated the official opening of its new facility in Poland with a Grand Opening Ceremony on site in Rzeszów. The 60,000 square foot facility, built on grounds which were acquired in early 2018 by TouchPoint, Inc., the parent company of Southco, has been operational since April of this year.

During the event, which was attended by the TouchPoint, Inc. Board of Directors, Southco associates, representatives of the local government and business community and the entire facility workforce, Thomas Mehler, President, Southco, Inc., emphasized the tremendous teamwork that had enabled the successful go-live of the facility earlier this year. He specifically recognized the outstanding support and contribution of the two key contractors and consultants, Hartbex and CBRE, who both received awards in appreciation of their efforts.

“This is a very proud day for us,” said Thomas Mehler, President, Southco, Inc., “The new Southco facility, with its state of the art technology and modern, fresh look demonstrates the strength of our global brand and puts us in a powerful position to continue adding value to our customers in Europe and around the world.”

Southco’s decision to open a new facility in Poland embraces the trend of international businesses choosing to invest in this fast-developing region, which is rich in local talent and culture. The site currently employs close to 90 associates, primarily engaged in assembly and logistics operations. There are plans for further recruitment as additional operational processes are added.
