Stanley Security Achieves Soc 2 Certification for Sixth Consecutive Year

STANLEY Security, a leading global manufacturer and integrator of comprehensive security solutions for a wide range of industries, has successfully achieved Service Organization Control (SOC 2®) certification for its platform for the sixth year in a row. The auditing procedure is governed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and speaks to the controls STANLEY Security has in place to manage critical data with proper disciplines and greater transparency, giving customers the confidence in the ability of STANLEY to manage their sensitive information.

SOC 2 is an auditing procedure for non-financial data that ensures proper management, protection and access of the security provider’s data while verifying the quality and integrity of related processes. STANLEY was measured against over a hundred different control points in the 2018 SOC 2 report.

“After six consecutive years of successful audits against these important SOC 2 controls, our customers can rest assured that STANLEY consistently brings the highest levels of integrity, discipline and commitment to the proper management of their sensitive information,” said Steve Walker, Vice President of Customer Service, STANLEY Security. “This audit is one of the most highly regarded data control evaluations in our industry, one that lets our customers know they can trust our ability to handle their sensitive information in a world that requires increasing vigilance against predatory attacks on valuable information.”

The audit was conducted by the multinational professional services firm Ernst & Young, and evaluated controls over a nine-month period between January 1, 2018 and September 30, 2018.  The AICPA standards dictate that Ernst & Young perform the audit to obtain assurance that the established controls are properly designed and functioning successfully to meet the trust services criteria. The audit report plays an important role in the oversight of an organization, as well as internal corporate governance and risk management processes.

STANLEY’s achievement of SOC 2 compliance confirms the company’s commitment to protecting its customers’ data and the confidentiality and privacy of the information processed by these systems. The SOC 2 compliance is one of the most highly regarded validation points for companies and exemplifies STANLEY’s dedication to privacy and security.
