The average engineering firm specifies $868,411 in lighting and lighting control products for healthcare facilities annually, according to the Consulting-Specifying Engineer 2015 Lighting and Lighting Controls Study.

The survey showed that 47% of engineers specify, design, or make product selections for healthcare facilities.

Forty-one percent of engineers also reported that changes with lighting codes and standards have affected their projects.

Among the engineers surveyed, 78% said that inadequate budgets are among their top challenges.
