A recent survey says compensation for environmental services managers is rising — along with their levels of responsibility, according to an article on the Hospital & Health Networks website.
Compensation for environmental services managers rose an average of eight percent between 2012 and 2015, according to a Health Facilities Management poll.
The increase was linked to an increased focus on infection control and patient satisfaction.
Despite the increase in pay, on average, environmental services managers were paid less than facilities, operations and engineering managers, the survey said.
