Tackling healthcare cybersecurity challenges

Many chief information security officers aren’t even close to having the tools they need to deal with cyberattacks


Many healthcare facility chief information security officers (CISOs) aren’t even close to having the tools they need to deal with cyberattacks, according to an article on the Healthcare Dive website. 

The article lists eight things hospital CISOs can do to help tackle today’s cybersecurity challenges. They include:

• Conduct an asset inventory exercise to identify where the sensitive data and systems are located

• Assess the cybersecurity readiness and vulnerability of the IT environment and internet facing applications

• Prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk
