Tribal college opens first healthcare facility

New facility at Salish Kootenai College offers services to staff, students and their dependents


The Salish Kootenai College in Pablo, Wash., has opened its first healthcare facility, according to an article on the Valley Journal website. 

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Health Department is collaborating with the college on the newly remodeled building.

The center provides limited primary medical care with nursing, referrals and health education resources. 

The facility is in full operation September through June when school is in session. Reduced services will be offered in the off-season.
