Turkey’s mega hospital is being called the biggest greenfield hospital project in the world, according to an article on the Global Construction Review website.
The project is also one of the biggest healthcare public-private partnerships in Europe.
A flagship project in Turkey’s hospital development program, the $1.37 billion Bilkent Integrated Healthcare Campus will cover more than 1.2 million square meters just outside Ankara.
With 100-plus operating rooms and 3,800 beds, Bilkent is expected to treat around 35,000 patients per day and employ approximately 8,000 staff when it is finished.
