A U.K. care home in Breightmet has replaced all bedding and brought in a specialist to carry out an additional deep clean after being hit with its fourth bout of scabies in less than a year, according to an article on The Bolton News website.
The condition can be spread by sharing clothing, towels or bedding.
A spokesman for the Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust confirmed infection control advice and support had been provided to the Four Seasons.
Earlier this year, the Four Seasons was deemed inadequate by the Care Quality Commission after the health watchdog’s inspectors highlighted a catalogue of failings, the article said.
