UPMC Pinnacle changing environmental, food service vendor

Switch will affect more than 450 workers


Pennsylvania health system UPMC Pinnacle is switching vendors for environmental services and food service, according to an article on Becker's Hospital Review website.

The system has been contracting with Sodexo for the services,but will. switch to Aramark Healthcare following. The change will affect more than 450 workers. 

UPMC Pinnacle said workers will be eligible to move to Aramark, and active employees "in good standing at the time of the transaction's close" will receive employment offers.

The system said Aramark will provide services across all Pinnacle hospitals except UPMC Pinnacle Hanover (Pa.) starting April 1, 2018.
