The head of Uber Health, says people aren't asking what Uber is doing in the healthcare market anymore, according to an article on the Becker's Hospital Review website.
"Three years ago, the conversation was, 'What the heck is Uber doing in healthcare? But that couldn't be further from the truth in terms of how we can help underserved populations," Dan Trigub said.
Data shows that 4 million medical appointments are missed or delayed every year because patients can't get to their appointments.
That's a $150 billion annual cost to the healthcare industry that companies like Uber and Lyft are looking to address.
