Universal Medical Resources announces first QuantumCam installation in the United States

Universal Medical Resources, the industry leading provider for new and reconditioned nuclear imaging equipment, parts, and service, announces the first U.S. installation of a DDD-Diagnostic QuantumCam gamma camera at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau, OK.

As the first hospital to purchase a QuantumCam in the U.S., Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center can now boast access to a SPECT nuclear imaging camera with the most advanced capabilities and unparalleled ease of operation.

“The QuantumCam was a clear winner among all the nuclear imaging systems we evaluated over the past several months,” stated Cheryl Craig, Associate Director at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center. “Once we completed our due diligence, it was readily apparent that the QuantumCam offers the best clinical and economic value for our facility.”

The QuantumCam is a multi-purpose nuclear imaging system. The small-footprint system offers a patient-focused design with full flexibility in detector positioning and superior imaging for whole-body, SPECT, cardiac SPECT, as well as dynamic and static planar imaging procedures. It was selected because of its simplicity and flexibility, as well as outstanding support from Universal.

Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center is a non-profit licensed 84-bed healthcare provider that has been serving LeFlore and the surrounding counties for over 60 years with high quality care and state-of-the-art technology.

Universal offers a comprehensive nuclear medicine portfolio with state-of-the art new and reconditioned SPECT systems, expert service, high-quality new and reconditioned parts, and certified clinical applications training.
