Upsite Technologies releases new monitoring system for data centers and critical facilities

Upsite Technologies, Inc., a leader in data center airflow management solutions, announced today that they will be unveiling a wired monitoring product for facilities, the Environmental Monitoring System 200TM (EMS 200 TM).

The latest addition to Upsite’s robust product line gives facility managers and data center operators an advanced tool to prevent downtime in their mission critical space. The Environmental Monitoring System 200 TM is a wired sensor network manager designed to track a variety of threats.  A cost-effective solution, the EMS 200 TM offers four sensor inputs, allowing for the deployment of multiple temperature and humidity sensor configurations along with eight digital inputs, which can be used to track: open/closed doors, motion and airflow sensors, fire alarms, gas and leak detectors, and summary alarms from critical equipment including Uninterruptable Power Supplies and generators. Additionally, the EMS 200 TM includes one relay output and one zone leak detection input which accommodates up to 200’ of leak detection sensing cable.

The Environmental Monitoring System 200 TM is a stand-alone with the capability of easily integrating to a Building Management System (BMS), Network Management System (NMS) and/or a Data Center Infrastructure Management System (DCIM) of both new and legacy facilities.  Utilizing Plug-and-Play technology, the EMS 200 TM offers fast and accurate monitoring of local and remote sites. Once configured, facility data is available through a mobile-friendly web interface and provides real-time monitoring, advanced alarm notifications, and customizable thresholds along with downloadable trending data.

“I am delighted that Upsite Technologies is launching monitoring technology for mission critical facilities,” said Peter Crook, CEO of Upsite Technologies. “Because downtime costs so much, staying ahead of problems is a top priority.” Michael Moore, Director of Product Management at Upsite Technologies, added “The benefits that the EMS 200 offers—ease of installation, real-time monitoring, advanced notifications, best of breed security and unparalleled reliability—make it an attractive option for facilities of any size.”

On June 15 and 16, Upsite Technologies will be exhibiting the Environmental Monitoring System 200 TM at the Data Center & Computing Conference and Expo in New York City. At the event, Upsite will also display the beta version of its upcoming EMS 400 TM —a new WireFree monitoring solution coming out later this fall.
