VIASENSOR Gas Analyzers for Medical and Dental Facilities from QED Environmental Systems

A range of VIASENSOR gas analyzers from Q.E.D Environmental Systems Inc., are used in medical and dental facility applications, including operating room background nitrous oxide (N2O) levels, piped hospital gas levels, N2O storage leak detection, verification of possible exposure to N2O, and carbon dioxide (CO2) gas level verification for incubator applications. Users can choose from a range within the VIASENSOR line depending upon the application.

The G200 N2O analyzer is designed to check background and breathing zone levels in medical facility operating rooms and X-ray departments, and can also be used for leak detection in N2O bottle storage areas. With a measuring range of 0-1000 parts per million (ppm) and a time weighted average (TWA) of 10,000 ppm, the G200 model is ideal for health and safety personnel who need an accurate verification of exposure limit breaches. The G200 is lightweight and easily portable, making it handy to carry around in busy operational environments. Also available is the G210 model, which can be used to measure N2O, oxygen (O2) and CO2, with an option for carbon monoxide (CO), in piped hospital gas, as well as for hospital setting leak detection.

As the only portable N2O analyzer on the market, the VIASENSOR G200 N2O analyzer is ideal for dental applications. It can be placed directly in facility staff’s breathing zones, making it a good choice for meeting Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) guidelines. These call for periodic measurement of worker exposures to N2O during anesthetic administration and controlling N2O leaks in the delivery, scavenging, and ventilation systems. Knowing the nitrous oxide levels in the office eliminates occupational exposure issues for the dentist and staff, and also enables quick detection of faulty delivery systems.

With their convenient size, easy user calibration, and improved stability with built-in moisture removal, the VIASENSOR G100 and G110 COmonitoring systems provide accurate, quick, and easy CO2, O2, temperature, and relative humidity readings with one device. This enables embryologists, stem cell researchers, and laboratory technicians to quickly verify and validate gas levels, enabling them to adjust the environment for greater stability to protect cells within the incubator from damage. The G100 is a simple digital alternative to using a chemical based gas measurement device. It features data storage for 1,000 readings, download capabilities, a large backlit display, and a long life battery.
