VidaShield™, a provider of fast, continuous air purification technology, and Vital Vio™, the company reinventing disinfection, have announced a strategic partnership to address the healthcare community’s need for technological solutions to reduce bacteria, fungi, germs and odors.

This partnership will allow healthcare facilities to leverage the latest technology to dramatically reduce their bioburden and infection risk. 

While hospitals and healthcare facilities continually improve their infection prevention protocols, dangerous bacteria that contribute to infections still exist. VidaShield and Vital Vio recognize the need to treat both the air and surfaces to reduce the risk to patients and staff.

This partnership will include future product development, cross-marketing and awareness campaigns. In addition, VidaShield will market Vital Vio’s VioSafe™ White Light Disinfection™ LED T8 bulbs through its distribution channels. The VioSafe™ T8 Replacement bulb offers surface disinfection through a precisely tuned spectrum of white light and is designed to serve as a direct replacement for existing bulbs in T8 fluorescent troffers by making use of the existing ballast for easy installation. This product provides both continuous disinfection and safe illumination through overhead lighting.

VidaShield is a fast, 24/7, active air purification system that uses UV-C to reduce bacteria and fungi in treated air. This patented device is uniquely designed by combining an ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) chamber and air circulating fans with an overhead ceiling light. Since VidaShield is an engineering control, no human intervention is required to operate the system once it is installed.
