Being aware of your surroundings and knowing what to do is crucial in an extreme violence incident at a healthcare facility, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.

Being aware of surroundings and knowing what to do before an incident happens can mean the difference between life and death in that type of situation. 

The Center for Personal Protection and Safety (CPPS) has developed a training video — "When Lightning Strikes: How to Recognize and Respond to an Extreme Violence Event."

Video topics include:
