Meriter Hospital in Madison. Wis., is adding security to its neo-natal intensive care unit after several babies were injured, according to an article on the WAOW website.
A nurse at Meriter is under investigation by a state agency due to the injuries. The employee has since been removed from the hospital during the investigation.
The hospital also has added additional monitoring and security measures, including more staff on the unit.
Meriter filed a complaint with the Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) alleging the nurse may have intentionally injured or hurt NICU babies.
