ERIE, PA – Zurn Industries, LLC announces another product category in which it offers single-source total building solutions with the addition of two proven technologies for Chemical Drainage Solutions: the Zurn Green Turtle PHIX® Media-Based Acid Neutralization System, and Zurn chemical drainage Systems, including neutralization tanks and accessories. Both systems are engineered to protect water systems, building occupants, and piping.

The PHIX System is a non-toxic proprietary mix of solid alkali non-resin material. It is five times more efficient than limestone and lasts up to 30 times longer.

The Zurn Green Turtle PHIX system offers two different solutions: a compact cartridge for under a sink; PHIX Media replacement that easily work in existing neutralization tanks;. The PHIX solutions are ideal for minimal spaces and a variety of applications, including laboratories in commercial, institutional, and industrial settings.

Zurn Engineered Water Solutions® offers a large breadth of chemical drainage components including pipes, drains, cleanouts, traps, fittings, neutralization tanks, and tools and accessories–all made of polypropylene or Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF), delivering excellent chemical resistance.

Zurn chemical drainage systems feature patented universal fittings that save space by reducing distributor and job site inventories. Zurn fittings include Fusion Lock® seal; Stab-Lock™ and Grooved mechanical joining systems; and multiple joint computer-controlled welding with data logging for easy jobsite tracking and troubleshooting.

Zurn PVDF is ideal for areas of a building where fire codes prohibit the use of other plastics such as return air plenums. It can maintain its integrity in a temperature range of -40°F to 285°F for high temperature drainage applications.
