Yorktel to Showcase its Video Telehealth Platform, Univago HE, at the American Legion 100th National Convention

Yorktel, a leading global provider of cloud and managed services for healthcare, enterprise and public sector customers, will be showcasing its Univago Healthcare Edition (Univago HE™) video telehealth platform at the American Legion 100th National Convention.  Featured in the Philips booth (102-108), Yorktel representatives will be demonstrating Univago HE and how its integration with Philips’ eCareManager enterprise telehealth software provides a best-in-class experience with virtual care for American veterans in VA hospitals across the country.

For the past 5 years, Yorktel and Philips have been working together in partnership to enable the delivery of remote intensivist services for veterans in the critical care units in VA hospitals. Univago HE represents the next generation of technology to enable VA clinicians to deliver world class care.

“At Yorktel, we are extremely proud of the work we’ve done to enhance the quality of care afforded to America’s veterans, and are excited to highlight our relationship with the VA at this year’s American Legion National Convention,” said Ron Gaboury, CEO of Yorktel. “Our UHE video Telehealth platform brings greater reliability, interoperability and ease of use which will free up VA clinicians to focus on providing the best possible care to our country’s vets.”

Purpose-built for telehealth, the Univago HE™ platform provides a comprehensive video solution for healthcare systems. The platform encompasses infrastructure, endpoint systems and software APIs for simple and flexible integration into telehealth clinical workflow solutions such as Philips’ eCareManager. This user-friendly design allows healthcare systems to increase their use of virtual care across a wide range of healthcare services.

Yorktel worked closely with several healthcare systems to develop and deliver a next generation solution that solves many of the issues found in video systems built primarily for enterprise applications. Univago HE’s™ flexible, standards-based design ensures interoperability with a facility’s existing telehealth investments regardless of medium (SIP, H,323, WebRTC, Skype for Business). The versatility of the Univago HE™ platform also gives healthcare customers the ability to consolidate their various telehealth programs onto a single video platform, improving clinician efficiency and potential care response time and providing a strong positive return on investment.

“After years of experience of providing video technology in the ICU, we found that systems built for conference rooms and repurposed into clinical applications fall short in many ways,” said Pete McLain, SVP of Healthcare. “Univago HE™ was built specifically for the most difficult clinical environments and can meet the stringent reliability and performance requirements of any ICU.”

Univago HE will be on display in the Philips booth (102-108) at the American Legion 100th National Convention. To learn more about Univago HE™, visit www.yorktel.com. To learn more about eCareManager, visit www.usa.philips.com.
