Some experts are saying the Senate’s healthcare bill could spell doom for some cash-strapped rural hospitals, according to an article on the Fierce Healthcare website.
Much of the concern is centered on proposed Medicaid cuts which would leave millions more uninsured and increase uncompensated care costs.
The bill could also lead to thousands of rural healthcare workers losing their jobs.
The Chartis Center for Rural Health estimated that bill could cause 34,000 rural healthcare jobs to be eliminated.
