The Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, Pa., recently added several patient-focused improvements to campus. A case study on the Array Architects website discusses these changes, including patient travel paths, new front doors and the relocation of complementary services — now adjacent to each other. 

Several clinic spaces, including surgical, oncology and wound care, were renovated to enhance patient and staff comfort, according to the study. The expanded Emergency Department provides treatment services for walk-ins and ambulance arrivals while increasing overall department size.
