Healthgrades names 2017 Best Hospitals

Medicare inpatient data from the Medicare Provider Analysis and Review database from 2013 through 2015 for the 32 most common inpatient conditions and procedures is considered


Healthgrades recently released its list of America's 50 and 100 Best Hospitals for 2017. An article on the Becker's Hospital Review website shared five things to know about the award and the winners, including:

• The organization examined Medicare inpatient data from the Medicare Provider Analysis and Review database from 2013 through 2015 for the 32 most common inpatient conditions and procedures

• The 100 Best Hospitals have received the organization's Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence consecutively for at least the last three years. The 50 Best Hospitals have received the award consecutively for at least the last six years.

• Twenty-two states and the District of Columbia don't have a top 100 hospital
