One key consideration is to ensure that mobile security remains a top priority and that protected health information stays secure.

Each healthcare organizations may need different mobile solutions. for instance, secure messaging might be necessary for larger hospital systems with specialty clinicians who need to communicate with patients, the article said.

The American Hospital Association’s Hospital & Health Networks' Most Wired rankings showed that nearly three-quarters of the Most Wired hospitals offer secure messaging with clinicians on mobile devices.
