A £420 million construction project has been approved for the Royal Sussex County hospital in Brighton, England, according to an article on the Construction News website. The current facilities are among the oldest in the National Health Service and date back to the 19th century.
Current buildings on the site will be replaced with new buildings and facilities. The hospital’s capacity will expand by 100 beds and the neurosciences and cancer centers will be improved, according to the article.
The project would be financed from public funds and as part of the Department of Health’s capital investment budget, the article said.
