Video walk-through offers peek at 'super hospital'

A state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Wales will offer complex and acute emergency care


A video "walkthrough" on the Wales Online website offers a peak at The Grange University Hospital, a £350m superhospital in Llanfrechfa, Cwmbran.

The facility will house more than 40 specialist services and will have a helicopter pad.

The project, first proposed in 2003 as part of a complete modernization of Gwent’s hospital services, was initially expected to open its doors to patients in summer 2019.

The Aneurin Bevan University Health Board now expects its doors to open to patients in spring 2021.
