12 healthcare facilities planning upgrades

Becker's Hospital Review website gathers a dozen project announcements


Twelve healthcare facilities announced plans to expand, upgrade or renovate their facilities in the last week, according to an article on the Becker's Hospital Review website.

Among the projects listed are:

• A new five-story, $43.3 million tower at Ocoee, Fla.-based Health Central

• At least $20 million in facility upgrades and staffing for Memorial Hermann Health System's Southwest Hospital as it converts it into a Level II trauma center

•  A 10-bed mental health crisis unit opened at New Hampshire Hospital in Concord after a nursing shortage stalled the opening for a year
