2 Mass. hospitals praised in federal workplace violence report

An OSHA report cited the facilities' approaches to workplace safety and emergency preparedness


OSHA report on workplace violence recognized two western Massachusetts facilities for their efforts, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.

Providence Behavioral Health Hospital in Holyoke and Mercy Medical Center in Springfield were cited for successful safety programs.

The report applauded the labor contract between Providence Behavioral Health Hospital management and registered nurses that explicitly states that worker and patient safety will continue to improve.

Mercy Medical Center was praised for hosting a full-scale active shooter exercise this year.
