48 hours after fire at Pa. senior facility, some residents were still missing

Residents were evacuated into bitter cold, and 27 were transported to hospitals

People remain unaccounted for two days after an intense fire destroyed a section of a Chester County, Pa. senior facility, according to an article on the NBC Philadelphia website.

The blaze forced 150 residents and staff into the frigid night and sent 27 residents to the hospital.

The five-alarm fire broke out in the personal care section of Barclay Friends. Staff evacuated residents on foot, in wheelchairs and even in beds, wrapped in blankets.

A "high-level source" involved in the investigation said some people are missing, but said it was unclear if they left shelters with family or friends.
