A $70.5 million children’s health center is planned in Toronto with an expected fall 2015 opening, according to an article on the Daily Commercial News website. 

The new McMaster Children’s Health Centre will be fully accessible and will include an outdoor wheeling track, a therapeutic playground and physiotherapy space. 

The new facility will bring together a number of programs that are currently located at the Hamilton Health Sciences facility in Hamilton, Ontario, including autism spectrum disorder services, the child and youth mental health program, the developmental pediatrics and rehabilitation program and prosthetics and orthotics services.

The building will be designed to suit children, youth and families, making use of light, space and texture where possible, according to the article.
