A clear vision comes to light with new Clara Luminaire from Architectural Lighting Works

Architectural Lighting Works (ALW) - an international manufacturer of high-performance, commercial luminaires designed for use in office, retail, hospitality, civic and academic environments - announces the release of Clara.

Available in linear suspended and wall sconce models, Clara provides designers a bold new aesthetic from which to deliver energy-efficient, high performance LED lighting.

Clara's distinguishing feature is its hollow, oval lensed body in which LEDs shine through and around providing both direct and indirect illumination. Specifiable in clear and semi-frosted options, the lensed body is formed from a co-extruded, impact-resistant acrylic with an array of thin white lines running throughout the length of the lens.

"Clara's pinstripe-like lines are embedded in the lensed body. Their purpose is to help direct and diffuse the LED light source within the curved lens and then to expel light outward in a controlled fashion downward and upward," explains ALW CEO Shira Steinbeck. "The result is a clear winner - a luminous, translucent luminaire that excels in both aesthetics and performance."

Delivering 89+ lumens per watt, the competitively priced Clara is available in 3000K and 4000K CCT at 80+ CRI. The luminaire is remotely powered by 0-10V, DALI, DMX or Lutron® Hi-Lume drivers. Standard dimming is down to 1 percent. Premium dimming is down to 0 percent.

The suspended model is available in 2', 4' and 8' sections that can be joined together to form continuous rows for general area ambient applications. The wall sconce model is ADA-compliant and is available in 2' and 4' individual units that provide uniquely beautiful accent illumination.

Clara meets the Qualified Product Listing requirements of the DesignLights Consortium. Listing is pending.
