ABM Health selected to provide healthcare technology services for Memorial Healthcare System

NEW YORK—ABM (NYSE:ABM), a leading provider of facility solutions, has announced that ABM Health has been awarded a long-term contract to provide clinical engineering and healthcare technology support services for Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) in Hollywood, FL. MHS is the second-largest public healthcare system in the country and highly regarded for its delivery of exceptional patient and family-centered care.

ABM Health is part of ABM’s Healthcare Support Services business that joins together three healthcare services leaders – ABM Health, Healthcare Parking Systems of America (HPSA) and HHA Services, which provide a range of clinical engineering & healthcare technologies, environmental services, facility management, patient observation, food service, hospitality, parking and security.

Under the partnership, ABM Health’s Technology Solutions team will assist MHS in developing a clinical engineering infrastructure that can effectively support the assimilation of its advanced technologies. Particularly, ABM Health will help prepare MHS strategically and operationally to address complex and integrated medical technologies, along with reorganizing and professionally developing the MHS in-house clinical engineering staff. The result will be a more balanced service approach using in-house resources and self-insurance rather than heavy reliance on costly manufacturers’ service contracts. The new five-year partnership comes on the heels of a two-year consultative relationship in which ABM Health helped lay the foundation for MHS’s evolving clinical engineering management program.

“Healthcare systems across the country have a great opportunity to streamline operations, improve patient care while reducing the long-term costs associated with the proliferation of integrated technologies,” said Michael Argir, ABM Health Executive Vice President. “At the same time, these technologies are increasingly complex and ensuring that they are implemented and operated in the most efficient manner is a significant challenge. We’re proud that Memorial Healthcare System has chosen to partner with ABM Health during this critical phase.”
