Tablets can streamline processes, improve communication


Arming healthcare security officers with tablets can streamline processes, improve communication and give people immediate access to troves of information, according to an article on the Campus Safety website.

Most hospital security departments have not equipped their officers with tablets, however. Benefits to adding this technology include:

• Making reports easier by allowing officers to file without retuning to an office

• Tablets can allow officers to take photos or videos of hazardous situations and send them to facilities managers for repair
