Armstrong® Ceiling Solutions Adds 2" and 10" Widths To Portfolio of MetalWorks™ Linear Panels

Armstrong® Ceiling Solutions has expanded its portfolio of MetalWorks™ Linear ceiling products to include new 2" and 10" panel widths, giving architects and designers maximum flexibility for achieving linear ceiling designs without the added cost and lead time of custom panels.

With the introduction of the two new widths, the MetalWorks Linear line of ceiling products  offers the broadest selection of standard panel widths in the industry, including 2", 4", 6", 8", 10", and 12" wide panels, for both interior and exterior applications.

All the panel widths install on one suspension system, providing unlimited opportunities to mix and match panel widths and finishes for a combination of linear looks, including on-trend striated visuals. Introduced last fall, the new Main Beam Carrier Assembly and Suspension System offers easy installation and a clean finished visual.

Updated Installation Instructions

Updated installation instructions for MetalWorks Linear ceiling panels are available online. These include solutions for linear lighting integration as well as exterior installation considerations.

On-trend linear lighting can easily be integrated into the ceiling using standard installation parts from the MetalWorks Linear family. Detailed drawings illustrate how to achieve a professional, fully-integrated design, including considerations for seismic zones.

Installation instructions for exterior applications of MetalWorks Linear panels have been updated to include guidance to meet wind uplift class ratings of 30, 60, and 90. Detailed layouts show how exterior installations can meet and exceed wind lift requirements using fewer compression posts and wider carrier-and-tee spacing, resulting in less labor and cost than competitive options.

Interior Acoustical Options

MetalWorks Linear panels are 96" long and 5/8" high with a square edge detail and are also available in custom lengths. Microperforated panels provide acoustical options for interior applications. When backed with an acoustical infill panel, microperforated panels can provide an NRC of up to 0.85, meaning they absorb 85 percent of the sound that strikes them.

MetalWorks Linear panels are available in nine standard colors including six Effects™ Wood Looks finishes: Maple, Cherry, Dark Cherry, Walnut, Walnut Espresso, and Oak, and three solid colors: White, Silver Grey, and Gun Metal Grey. Custom colors are also available.

The durable, steel panels are easily installed in the ceiling, on the wall, or as 90-degree angled or faceted ceiling-to-wall transitions. End caps and splice plates are available.

MetalWorks Linear panels are part of a broad portfolio of linear visual products Armstrong Ceiling Solutions offers across a wide range of materials and finishes, including MetalWorks Blades – Classics™, MetalWorks Blades – Concepts™, WoodWorks® Linear, WoodWorks Grille, SoundScapes® Blades, Soundsoak® Baffles, and Infusions® Blades – Concepts™.
