A Western Australia healthcare facility is concerned with ongoing safety of workers after asbestos was found at the new Perth Children's Hospital, according to an article on the ABC website.
The asbestos was discovered in cut roof panels in the new Perth Children's Hospital and the Australian Medical Association is worried that the clean up job is progressing too quickly and is not thorough enough.
A section of hospital has been sealed off but construction work is ongoing. The facility is slated to open in October.
Workers were first exposed to the asbestos on a Monday, but initial testing — which later came back positive — was not done until the next day.
