Boston Children's Hospital renovating dining space

The $11 million project includes a new focus on fresh ingredients, antibiotic-free meats and cooking classes for children and adults

Boston Children's Hospital's $11 million dining space renovation includes a new focus on fresh ingredients, antibiotic-free meats and cooking classes for children and adults, according to an article on the Sun Chronicle website.

In the new space, parents and children will also have the chance to participate in  a new "culinary academy" and other food-related events.

Parents of kids receiving long-term treatment will be able to relax at a "parents night out." Young patients will be able to take kitchen tours and shadow the robotic servers the hospital uses to deliver meals to rooms.

Another major feature of the new dining space will be a "Chef's Playground," where guest chefs from around Boston will be able to cook their favorite dishes and conduct demonstrations during the noon meal.
