The Bridgeport Hospital, in Bridgeport, Conn., recently marked the opening of the Grant Street Plaza, a park designed to improve the safety and appearance of the hospital's entryway.
The plaza includes trees, shrubs and other greenery, a sheltered ground-level walkway between the hospital’s parking structure and main entrance and a water sculpture .
According to the article in the Bridgeport News, there is no longer vehicle access from Central Avenue to the part of Grant Street in front of the hospital.
The $5 million project began in January 2013, was build by with O&G Industries, Bridgeport and designed by Bridgeport-based Antinozzi Architects.
