The death of a 87-year-old man who fell from a third story window is raising questions about the quality of care at Emerald South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Buffalo, N.Y., according to an article on the WGRZ website.
It was the second violent death at the facility in as many years.
The man tried to escape his room by tying together clothes and bed sheets. He attempted to use them to climb down from his third-floor window. He fell 34 feet to the ground.
Buffalo Police spokesperson, Capt. Jeff Rinaldo told reporters that the man laid there in the parking lot for approximately 20 minutes before someone found him and called 911. He died on the way to the hospital.
