CBRE Healthcare Celebrates the Grand Opening of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa

Saint Alphonsus Medical Center – Nampa, a member of Trinity Health, celebrated the Ribbon Cutting ceremony for their new replacement hospital in Nampa, ID on June 15, 2017. CBRE Healthcare served as the Owner’s Representative for the project.

Designed to enhance healing and patient safety, while reducing mental, physical and emotional distress, the new state-of-the-art hospital will allow Saint Alphonsus to meet the growing needs of its community.

In attendance were members of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa, the Saint Alphonsus Foundation board of directors, physicians and members of the medical executive committees, staff, elected and government officials, and community and Catholic health care leaders. The new hospital was made possible through funding from Trinity Health as well as donations from the community.

“Being a part of the grand opening events was a proud moment for me and our team,” stated David Stokes, Senior Director of Project Management for CBRE Healthcare. “It’s exciting to participate in the culminating event that marks years of planning, design and construction. For Saint Alphonsus and the community, this is not an end, but a beginning that will transform and improve healthcare access in the Boise region for years to come.”

As Owner’s Representative, CBRE Healthcare assisted Saint Alphonsus Medical Center - Nampa in managing the project from design through occupancy.

The new five-story $80 million replacement hospital represents the largest expansion project in the hospital’s 100-year history. The 240,000-square foot facility houses 106 private patient rooms, a 10-bed short stay unit and an 18-bed intensive care unit. Also included is a 6-room surgical operating suite, 6-bed neonatal intensive care unit, 12-bed obstetric and post-partum unit, and a 24-room emergency department.

Open house events for colleagues and the community to tour the new facility were held on May 30. An additional event was held on June 17 just prior the first patient date of June 19.

Other key features of the hospital include:

  • State-of-the-art information, diagnostic, and treatment technologies and healing design principles
  • Constructed as an addition/ expansion to the current Birkeland Maternity Center, Heart Center, Urgent Care, and Emergency Room, complementing the new medical office building located on the campus
  • The input of physicians, nurses, community partners, EMS, and a variety of staff to assist in the design of clinical work areas
