CDC: Candida auris cases at 836

New York has the most cases with 388


The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have reported that the number of cases of Candida auris in the U.S. have reached 836.

That number is up from 799 at the end of July, according to an article on the Becker's Clinical Leadership and Infection Control website.

As of Aug. 31, there were 806 cases and 30 probable cases of C. auris across the country. 

An additional 1642 patients were found to be colonized with C. auris, up from 1,540 as of July 31.
