Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare, a rehabilitation facility in Pomona, Calif., has opened a new medical-surgical wing, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.
The new wing includes three surgical suites, a six-bed intensive care unit, 25 private medical-surgical beds with patient lift systems and private bathrooms and a procedure room.
The patient-lift systems allow staff to safely assist in transferring patients to bathroom facilities. Two private rooms are designated for bariatric patients up to 550 pounds.
The surgical suites feature minimally invasive surgical systems and robotic-arm-assisted surgery for orthopedics/total joint replacements.
