Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego is seeing a drastic drop in the number of Emergency Room visits


A drastic drop in the number of Emergency Room visits at the Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego has doctors worried that parents are afraid to take their children to the hospital amid this Coronavirus pandemic, according to an article on the10 News website.

The hospital has made several improvements, including Plexiglass windows and cordoned-off waiting areas in their ERs, to address these safety concerns.

Like many hospitals in our area, Rady also has set up triage stations at the Emergency entrance. 

Once families arrive, they are immediately handed a mask, and they are asked questions. The healthcare providers can talk to families through windows and put them in the correct waiting room.
