St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo, Calif., plans an expansion and modernization project, including a 72,342-square-foot addition that meets state-required seismic safety standards for acute-care facilities, according to an article on the Medical Construction & Design website.
The acute care services located in the existing hospital will be relocated to the new building addition.
The project will improve wayfinding by aligning the new services with the existing emergency department, imaging and ICU.
New features include 50 private, patient-centered rooms and a new dining area, kitchen and servery.
