Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care wins international climate change awards

Organization recognized for leading the transformation to climate smart, resilient healthcare


The Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care has won international recognition for its leadership in climate change and was recently awarded Gold status in the 2020 Challenge Climate Champion Awards 1 as part of Health Care Without Harm's Global Green and Healthy Hospitals initiative, according to an article on the Exchange website.

The organization was recognized for leading the transformation to climate smart, resilient healthcare

The Coalition was honored for its role in the development and implementation of the Health Care Climate Change Resiliency Toolkit, developed with support from Health Canada. 

The toolkit guides users through a suggested approach to resiliency assessments; an Assessment Checklist helps organisations determine their level of resiliency, and the Practices Resource Guide provides additional benefit.
