Center for Health Research & Design working on three evidence-based design projects

CHRD is collaborating with local nonprofit healthcare organization BJC HealthCare to look at key healthcare environments


The Center for Health Research & Design (CHRD) at the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University, St. Louis, is addressing challenges posed by a changing healthcare environment and delivery models, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.

CHRD is collaborating with local nonprofit healthcare organization BJC HealthCare on three evidence-based design research projects that look at key healthcare environments. 

One study will focus on measuring performance in patient room design. 

Another project focuses on ambulatory surgical environments to develop metrics to support continuous design optimization of ambulatory surgical care.
