The Shriners for Children Medical Center outpatient clinic is being built in Pasadena, Calif., with connections to the outdoors in quantities almost equal to its clinical space, according to an article on the Healthcare Design website. For example, the outdoor courtyard is designed with a variety of places to sit, including semi-shaded areas near a water wall feature.
