The 521,000-square-foot expansion and new main building are more than halfway through construction. the exterior of the building is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
Scheduled to open in summer 2017, the expansion will add more beds, private rooms, state-of-the-art operating suites, family-friendly amenities and the flexible floor space.
“As the wettest expected winter in years quickly approaches, we’re thrilled that the hospital construction is weather-tight,” said a hospital official. “This will help to ensure the future functionality of the building and keep us on schedule as we move into the final phase of construction.”
