Cincinnati hospital plans $280 million expansion

Joint and Spine Center Christ Hospital project will include a million-dollar view

Joint and Spine Center Christ Hospital's $280 million expansion project will include a million-dollar view, according to an article on the WCPO website.

Natural light and city and river views fill the 87 patient rooms or the quiet rooftop parks.

The exterior walls are sheathed in glass, but many of its interior meeting rooms have glass walls to keep the light flowing.

“A lot of glass, a lot of sunshine, a lot of greenery,” said Herb Caillouet, the center’s director. “There’s just a lot of literature that talks about the healing properties of that. Patients exposed to that heal and do better in the short and long haul.”
