Cleveland Clinic names new food-service provider

Employees could be rehired by Morrison Healthcare


The Cleveland Clinic plans to make Morrison Healthcare the new food service provider for its main campus and Children's Rehabilitation Center, according to an article on the Cleveland.com website.

Those facilities are currently are staffed by Maryland-based Sodexo. Morrison representatives have said they may rehire employees affected by the change.

The 383 employees affected include 215 food service workers, 25 cooks, 31 supervisors, as well as a number of other positions.

A similar situation occurred in 2015 when the clinic hired Sodexo to replace Philadelphia-based Aramark Corp. as its main food service provider, the article said.
