The Family-Centered Cancer Care Design Competition encouraged designer to consider frequent, long hospital stays; parental presence and a space appropriate for infants to teenagers, according to Healthcare Design website. The finalists are DesignGroup (Columbus, Ohio), Erdman (Madison, Wis.), and RS&H Inc. (Jacksonville, Fla.).
